Hi there! Welcome to our newest feature: Creator Spotlight! Each week, we’ll be interviewing a different Tacticus Creator, giving you an insight into what they do and why you should be following them. This week, we’re featuring Kharnage.
Kharnage came to us through the Tacticus Planner. He’d started making videos showing players how to use the tool, but then realized what he really wanted to do was create videos that helped players be more efficient with their time investment.
A passionate advocate for the Tacticus Planner , he encourages new players not only to use the tool but also to suggest to the developers that they expand the API to cover features they think might be needed.
It may be hard to believe, but Kharnage has only been playing Tacticus for about a year! He wasn’t sure that Tacticus was the Warhammer game for him, but he started watching Creator videos and got hooked. (Lucky for us!) When he’s not making new content, you can generally find Kharnage in the Help-How-Do-I channel on our official Discord, helping players figure out what the heck they’re doing.
His biggest hurdle when he started was figuring out how to splice and merge, but thankfully, his fellow Creators helped him figure out Video Editing 101. Coming up with tractable ideas and making engaging content is challenging, but Kharnage says that he enjoys making videos about eking out every last bit of permanence from minimal rosters. In fact, his favorite video was a deep dive into the bottlenecks players face and how to overcome them.

It’s a bit outdated due to the Mythic changes, but it signifies Kharnage’s dedication to ensuring mid-level players have the knowledge to accomplish their goals. In fact, his favorite thing about making content is, “... knowing that the subject matter is of actual concern to other players and that lots of players will improve their game and experience by watching what I make.”
When asked what advice he’d give to a new creator, he said, “Identify the type of content you want to be known for. Nandi is most well-known for his patch notes and character deep dives. dbpreacher for genai and legendary events. Nox for quests, Tactifuchs for in-depth analysis, and I would like to say I'm making a name for myself by showing how to use minimal rosters to complete certain goals.”
